Pull-up pants vs wraparounds: the short answer
Pull-up pants suit mobile adults who can manage their own toileting. They look and feel like underwear. Wraparounds (sometimes called slips) fasten at the sides and suit people with limited mobility or who need carer assistance. Wraparounds are the higher-absorbency option of the two, so the choice comes down to two things: how much protection is needed, and who is putting the product on and taking it off.

How to get the fit right
Sizing is the biggest reason continence products leak. People assume a medium in one brand is a medium in another. It often isn't. Comfort First sizes by waist measurement only. Take a tape measure around the waist, at the point where the product will sit, and match that measurement to the size chart.

Frequently asked questions
Are incontinence pants the same as adult nappies?
The products are similar, but Comfort First calls them pants because that's what they are: adult pull-up underwear designed for incontinence management. They're disposable, discreet and designed for dignity. The term "adult nappies" is sometimes used but can feel undignifying to the people wearing them.
What's the difference between pull-ups and pads?
Pull-ups are full pants that replace underwear. A pad on its own sits inside regular underwear and suits light leakage. Comfort First's only pad is the Insert Booster Pad, which is designed to layer inside pull-ups or wraparounds to extend wear time, not to be worn on its own. If you're managing anything beyond light leakage, pull-ups or wraparounds generally work better than a pad alone.
What size incontinence pants should I buy?
Size by waist measurement, not by clothing size. Measure around the waist, at the point where the product will sit. If you're between two sizes, try the smaller size first. See our sizing guide for full instructions.
How often should incontinence pants be changed?
It depends on the product's absorbency and how much it is being asked to hold. Change when the product is wet rather than waiting for it to be saturated, because prolonged contact with urine is what damages skin. If you find you're changing far more often than you'd like, a higher-absorbency product or an insert booster pad may suit better, and a continence nurse can help you work out a routine.
Can I wear pull-ups during exercise?
Pull-up pants are designed to be worn like underwear, so they suit walking and everyday activity. For higher-intensity activity, or if you're managing stress incontinence specifically, a pull-up with an insert booster pad often works better than a single heavier product.
